Blackpink fans scammed: Thai woman arrested for selling fake live performance tickets

Police arrested an unscrupulous Thai girl for promoting fake concert tickets to see the popular K-Pop girl group Blackpink. The victims suffered monetary losses exceeding seven-hundred,000 baht.
During Blacklisted , police found that many attendees arrived at the event holding equivalent e-tickets, all of which had been bought beneath the title of 26 year outdated Nattarika “Disco” Yangsuay.
Officers initiated an investigation and successfully located and arrested Disco within the Lat Prao district of Bangkok at present.
Disco confessed that she earned the money from reserving live performance tickets for purchasers. She claimed that she booked 200 tickets for the Blackpink live performance for resale. She bought them at 9,600 baht per ticket and resold them between 15,000 to 30,000 baht per ticket.
Disco advised police that the initial batch of 200 tickets sold out quickly, but she continued to obtain requests from involved buyers. The unscrupulous ticket tout decided to fulfil these orders by repeatedly distributing e-ticket copies of the identical tickets to her prospects.
The Commander of the Investigation Department of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, Teeradate Thammasutee, reported that the police were not satisfied by Disco’s confession even when she narrated the story in tears. Teeradate revealed that Disco was also hooked on on-line gambling, which had led her into important debt.
Moreover, Disco’s felony history featured another nine fraud instances in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Saraburi provinces. The costs have been issued from April of final yr to March of this year.
Teeradate emphasised that this case went past just the fraud, as it affected the feelings of Blackpink fans who’ve restricted opportunities to see their beloved band. Teeradate said…
“This uncle (Teeradate) cannot bring the Blackpink live performance again to all of the young followers, but this uncle will prosecute the offender who damage all your feelings.”
The police also inspired other victims to come back forward and report any comparable incidents, stressing that they’re committed to resolving issues affecting the final public’s wellbeing..
