In the wake of the flooding and landslides that happened in KwaZulu-Natal in April and May 2022, 448 individuals have been left useless and greater than forty 000 displaced, with harm to roads, colleges, water infrastructure and businesses.
On 18 April, President Cyril Ramaphosa declared a national state of catastrophe.
