Following its bulletins of 5 May 2021 updating the New Industrial Strategy proposed in 2020, the European Commission has further indicated that it is going to rely fairly closely on trade to deliver on the main challenges confronted by our economies and societies in Europe. This is particularly the case in relation to sustainability, digital transformation, and global competitiveness, in addition to the need to overcome the crisis provoked by the Covid-19 pandemic. The EU Recovery and Resilience Plan launched in Spring 2021 is largely building on the potential of European business to design and produce the constructing blocks of the twin green and digital transition. At the same time, the EU is shaping a dense regulatory framework that does not all the time support the freedom and suppleness wanted for companies to grow and compete globally.
The European know-how industries, and particularly our pumps, compressors, faucets and valves sectors, have for a very long time considered the enhancement of their international competitiveness inside the challenges of societal and environmental challenges, notably by contributing to the preparation of energy efficiency and ecolabel rules. In parallel, digitalisation has supplied increased opportunities and brought new challenges, including debates on the appropriate regulatory degree (sharing of industrial data, synthetic intelligence, cybersecurity, etc).
These developments, amidst ever more fierce international competitors, require that public authorities and trade in the EU work more and more more closely to design and deploy methods that reinforce our competitiveness and our contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This will be the subject of the initial debate kicking off our Joint EU Policy Conference, which will convey together key coverage makers from the three EU coverage establishments in cost of the Industrial Strategy and three Executives representing and illustrating the achievements enjoyed, and challenges nonetheless confronted, by these three key sectors of business.
Specific Technical and Policy Issues

As the regulatory panorama throughout Europe, and certainly the entire world, turns into ever more complicated, the burden on business solely increases. It subsequently falls to sector specific commerce organisations, corresponding to Europump, CEIR and Pneurop, to establish and advise on those technical and coverage issues most related to their respective sectors. In our explicit arena, that relates, of course, to the manufacture, distribution and use of pumps and all pump associated gear – a huge and necessary subset of business, given the width and breadth of pump functions.
Against this backdrop, one of the main concerns when determining the core themes for the joint conference was to maintain up a direct reference to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Within pressure gauge ออก หลัง , the three associations intend to focus on how, along with the importance for corporations to deal with technical aspects impacting their daily enterprise operations, they consider the optimistic function of business in addressing societal challenges. Indeed, all the periods could have a technical theme matching the most applicable UN SDG, and with representation from the European Commission along with technical specialists from trade and/or research institutes, they will each be reflective of the current legislative terrain, because it relates to pumps and pumping systems within the following key areas:
Circular Economy & Eco-design (Relevant UN Sustainable Development Goal no. 12: Responsible Consumption and Production)

Industry’s Digital Transformation and Innovation (Relevant UN Sustainable Development Goal no. 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure)

The restriction of use of supplies and substances of concern (Relevant UN Sustainable Development Goal no. 6: Clean Water and Sanitation)

The regulatory and legislative landscape across Europe is changing into increasingly complex, and trade, in all its guises, needs to be aware and ready for what is coming. By participating with these trade organisations that symbolize your best pursuits, you’ll find a way to keep abreast of all the compliance developments as they have an effect on your business and the areas by which you use.
