KSB completes expansion of GIW’s Grovetown facility

KSB has announced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase enlargement of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.

The first two phases of the growth had been approved in 2013 in response to rising market demand for larger equipment. Since then, the Grovetown facility has accomplished upgrades, added tens of thousands of sq. toes to its foundry, elevated furnace capability, accomplished construction on a distribution centre, and received approval for 3 extra phases of enchancment.
With the completion of the challenge, KSB has quadrupled its capability to mildew castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), increased its most pouring output by as much as 66,000 lbs (30,000 kg), reduced the number of required shot blast runs by 50%, added special cleansing stations for large castings, applied new know-how and effectivity solutions, and doubled worker locker room amenities.
KSB went ahead with the project’s completion, regardless of the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic fallout.
